2009 Phish Summer Tour

(rewind a few months)

After missing the Hampton reunion, refusing to listen to any of the shows and feeling like my best friend punched me in the gut, the first thing I knew I was going to have to do was strategically aquire tickets so that I was not shut out again(or giving in to the awful scalping situation, I knew I couldn't afford). After placing orders in phish's mail order ticketing system and waiting to hear back, praying I wasn't the proof to this everlasting spoof, once again.

Some time went by and I remember waking up  really early to find out that I scored a mail order ticket to each of Great Woods, and Jones Beach Friday and Saturday. I let out a high pitched screen confusing those around me! I was in! Now the countdown begins!

Now that I knew I was in, there was no way I couldn't try to get everyone of my friends and their mothers in as well... here we go tickets by phone, intertronz...what have you got for us. What game is this and how can we beat the system?

I can tell you that outsmarting the system is what got me the most luck. I now know how to play the game and win. Did I mention how competitive I am?  It's not worth playing, if you don't play to win! =) Go TEAM!

There were countless conversations that I had with Live Nation Customer Service, about where I was from, what other concerts could they check on for me and my favorite "oh, sorry hold on just a minute, my dog won't stop barking". Finally the government clock hit and at 2 seconds past the hour, I was on my way to score tickets to the gorge, spac and ct. At some other point that week, I had to coach my mother and countless friends on how to try to beat the clock for red rocks tickets. Low and behold, one person got through some other unmentionable back door to go for the score! WOW! Did that Really happen!

My best summer to date is just around the corner.... how ever am I going to stay focused on this schoolwork?
